What We Do

We do Super!

We do Self-Managed Super Funds but there is more to an SMSF than a bank account, almost all of our clients that are referred to us have set up a SMSF and committed to a purchase of an investment property to help grow their fund.

They have as a result committed to a heavy regime of compliance and regulations that govern the way their fund should operate – we help navigate through the can's and can'ts – some of these can be found here.

When one of our experienced Financial Planners meets with you, you should expect the following:

  • It's about you the members of the fund, we will need to know about you and your personal circumstances.
  • We will need to collect details of all of your existing super funds that you wish to roll over into your SMSF, this will include balances, fees & charges you pay and insurances linked to those funds.
  • Details of the property you have
  • Ask you to sign a Terms of Engagement (link to pdf) outlining what we will providing advice on.
  • They will also provide a copy of their Financial Services Guide

After this initial meeting, your Financial Planner will take this information away to analyse and produce your individual Statement of Advice based on your personal circumstances and assessed needs.

A follow up presentation appointment will typically follow within 2 weeks of the initial introductory appointment.

The advice will cover the following key compliance needs:

  • Developing and documenting your Investment Strategy
  • Affordability assessment
  • Fund Liquidity
  • Asset / Investment diversification
  • Fund cashflow
  • Insurances required by fund
  • Bank Account recommendation
  • Authorities to roll over your existing super into the SMSF

The advice won't cover:

  • Personal needs, goals or objectives outside Superannuation
  • Personal insurance needs
  • Any other non-superannuation issues
